I have a love and nostalgia for games that originally drew me to programming, and a deep desire to understand the work done in the shadows that makes games possible. This combination is what pulled me toward engine systems and tools programming, building the infrastructure and pipelines that help developers and designers do their best work.

Coming from web development and running my own online retail business, I bring a perspective that isn't typical for a systems engineer. I've spent time on the user-facing side of things, which means when I build tools for developers and designers, I'm thinking about the experience just as much as the implementation. I've been writing object-oriented code for nearly a decade with Python as my strongest language, and I'm currently in the process of mastering C++ and low-level systems programming.

I'm a generalist at heart. My interests span almost every corner of computing, and I find that knowledge from one area has a funny way of making me better in another. Whether you're a recruiter or an engineer who wants to bounce ideas, feel free to reach out.
